Procrastination Busters That Work

by Thomas Turner

We have all thought about things we need to change about ourselves in order to have a better life. We all have bad habits or things that we wish we would do different but making those changes can be difficult. Working on self improvement is not as difficult as you may think it is. Making changes in your life can actually help you to accomplish all of those things that you have always dreamed about. In fact, you can see results in as little as 24 hours of you really put your mind to it.

Procrastination is the biggest reason people don't succeed. Every person chooses the easier route when doing a task, and it's always easier to put it off. The problem with that is it never gets done. The reason people don't do a certain task is because it seems to hard or that it takes up too much time.

Breaking things down into smaller more manageable pieces is a great way to keep you motivated. For instance if you want to lose weight you can't just start with thinking you're going to the gym everyday for one hour. You will get sore, busy, or lazy and when you miss one day you'll get discouraged.

Instead break it down and start with 10 minutes 2-3 times a week. Then after a week or two make it 30 minutes 2-3 times a day. Then after you've done that a few weeks add a day.

Breaking it up makes it seem more accomplishable. Working on your goal a little bit each day and not all at once makes it less stressful too.

Now sit down with a pen and paper. Figure out what you want your goals to be. Then break them down into smaller short term goals. Self-improvement can get you what you want in life; you just need to learn to take smaller steps in order to reach your goals easier.
